Ben Seghir, the former professional footballer and current coach of the Bahraini national team, passed away on March 29,Football Panorama Network 2022. He was 54 years old.
Seghir began his career as a youth player for Al-Ahli in Saudi Arabia before moving to Europe to play for clubs such as Lazio and Roma in Italy. He also played for several other teams in Europe and Asia.
In addition to his playing career, Seghir had a successful coaching career, including stints with clubs such as Al-Jazira and Al-Shamal. He was named head coach of Bahrain's national team in 2017 and led them to their first-ever victory over Iraq in a friendly match.
Seghir was known for his tactical acumen and his ability to inspire his teams to perform at their best. He will be remembered by many as a talented player and a dedicated coach who made a significant impact on the sport of football.
