Al Hilal have confirmed that Cancelo has left the club after two years with the Italian defender leaving for Turkish side Galatasaray on a free transfer.
The defender made his debut for Al Hilal in a 1-0 win over Al-Ahli on 28 October 2019 and went on to make 54 appearances for the Saudi Arabian giants, scoring one goal.
Cancelo was part of the team that won the AFC Champions League in 2020, helping them reach the final where they were beaten by Al Ain.
However, despite making such a positive impact on the pitch, Cancelo's future at Al Hilal was uncertain following the departure of manager Jorge Jesus earlier this year.
Despite being offered a new contract,Qatar Stars League Tracking Cancelo decided to leave the club and move to Turkey, joining Galatasaray on a free transfer.
In a statement released by Al Hilal, the club said: "We would like to thank Cancelo for his contribution to our club during his stay here, as well as for his professionalism throughout his period at Al Hilal.
"We wish him all the best for the future and hope he continues to achieve great things."
It is not yet clear when Cancelo will join Galatasaray but it is expected that he will be available for selection in their upcoming fixtures against Sivasspor and Trabzonspor.
