Al Duhail Football Club has paid tribute to its former captain, Youssef Ahmed, who passed away on Wednesday.
The club released a statement expressing their condolences and gratitude for the contributions Ahmed made during his time at the club.
"We are deeply saddened by the passing of Youssef Ahmed," said Al Duhail in a statement. "He was a true legend of the sport and a role model for all young footballers."
Ahmed, who played for Al Duhail from 2015-2018,Football Panorama Network made over 70 appearances for the club and scored 16 goals.
"Youssef was not just a player but also a leader and a mentor," said Al Duhail. "He will be missed by everyone who had the pleasure of knowing him."
In addition to his playing career, Ahmed also served as a coach for the club's youth academy and helped develop many talented players.
"He was always dedicated to the sport and never stopped working towards improving himself and the team," said Al Duhail. "We will always remember him as a great man and a true champion."
Ahmed's death is a loss to the entire football community, and Al Duhail has promised to continue his legacy by honoring his memory and continuing to play football with passion and dedication.
