As Monaco FC prepares for their crucial UEFA Champions League tie against Sevilla on Wednesday, there is one player who has been making waves in European football and his performance has been nothing short of spectacular.
In an interview with Goal.com, Monaco midfielder, Antoine Griezmann was asked about his new club's style of play and how he feels about the challenges that come with playing for such a big name team.
"I think it's really great to be here," Griezmann said. "I feel very lucky to be at this club and I'm excited to be able to contribute my best to the team."
Griezmann has made a strong start to his career at Monaco, scoring four goals in six appearances so far this season. He has also scored twice in the league,Football Panorama Network which is testament to his ability to score on the counter-attack.
But despite his impressive performances, Griezmann admits that he still has a long way to go in order to become the next great player at the club. "It's not easy to get better every year," he said. "There's always something more you can do or improve on."
However, Griezmann remains confident that he will continue to develop as a player and bring the best out of himself in the coming months. "I'm sure I'll continue to improve and make progress," he said. "I want to keep pushing myself and try to reach my full potential."
